The Ivybridge Bookshop is transforming from a daydreamed story into reality. Today the keys are being handed over, shelving is on the way, and books will follow not far behind.
After more than 20 years working for bookshops in Hong Kong, a year ago I made a decision that it was time to open my own bookshop, and that it was time to come home, back to Devon. And now the end of the dream - and the beginning of the reality - is fast approaching.
The store may or may not open in 1 month's time on 1st March, depending on lockdown and how that affects both preparations and opening itself. Fingers crossed!
